First 24 Hours

Leave the plastic wrap on your tattoo for an hour.
After you have removed the wrap you will gently wash your new tattoo. Make sure to thoroughly wash your hands before touching your tattoo. Unscented antibacterial soap in a pump bottle is recommended; bar soaps harbor a lot of bacteria.
Wash your tattoo using your fingertips in small circular motions.
Avoid using loofahs and washcloths around the area.
After rinsing well, pat the area dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Water Exposure

Soaking your new tattoo or submerging it completely under any amount of water should be avoided for 2-3 weeks.

UV Rays

Any exposure to the sun or tanning beds should be avoided during the duration of the healing process, about 3-4 weeks. Even after your tattoo is healed, you should always protect it from excessive sun exposure.

Daily Care

You should wash your tattoo at least once daily and apply a thin layer of unscented hand lotion to the area 2-4 times daily.
Do not apply thick or heavy amounts of aftercare product to avoid suffocating your tattoo, less is more.
